Cornerstone College & Seminary: Our Accreditation and Why It Matters

Accreditation matters to us at Cornerstone College & Seminary because we care deeply about integrity, accountability, and the quality of education we provide. We believe students deserve to know exactly who we are, what we stand for, and how our programs are evaluated.

Why Accreditation Matters to Us

Accreditation is not just a credential; it is a commitment. It holds us accountable to continually evaluate and strengthen our programs, our faculty, and our services to students. At Cornerstone, accreditation helps ensure that we do not become complacent, but instead pursue excellence in every area of our academic life.

Why Accreditation Matters to You

For students and families, accreditation provides confidence that a Cornerstone education is credible and purposeful. For churches, ministries, and employers, it affirms that our degrees represent legitimate academic preparation grounded in Christian conviction. In short, accreditation protects the value of the degree our students work hard to earn.

Why We Chose Theological Accreditation through AICCS

We intentionally chose theological accreditation through AICCS because it aligns with our mission and biblical foundation. AICCS evaluates institutions within the context of Christian higher education, recognizing the importance of faith integration, doctrinal clarity, and ministry preparation alongside academic rigor.

Choosing a Christian accreditor allows our programs to be reviewed by peers who understand why biblical truth matters in education. This does not mean our standards are lower. We are held to clear expectations for curriculum quality, faculty qualifications, institutional stability, and student outcomes, all while remaining unapologetically Christ-centered.

How We Uphold Academic Quality and Accountability

Accreditation shapes how we operate every day. At Cornerstone, this includes:

  • Regular review of programs and courses to ensure they remain academically sound, biblically faithful, and relevant for ministry and service.
  • Qualified faculty who bring both academic preparation and real-world ministry experience into the classroom.
  • Continuous improvement, including assessment of student learning and ongoing refinement of curriculum and instruction.
  • Ethical stewardship and transparency in governance, finances, and institutional decision-making.

Accreditation ensures that if something needs improvement, we identify it and address it. Accountability is built into how we teach, lead, and serve.

Accreditation and Our Mission

Cornerstone exists to provide education that is firmly rooted in God’s Word and academically excellent. Our accreditation supports our mission to equip Christian students for significant kingdom impact.

We view academic quality as a stewardship responsibility demonstrating that we take seriously the trust students, churches, and supporters place in us.

It gives credibility to your degree, ensures your courses meet high-quality standards, and shows future employers, churches, and graduate schools that your training is recognized and respected.

Yes. Accredited programs are more widely accepted if you choose to transfer to another school or pursue graduate study. Accreditation makes it easier for your credits to be recognized.
