Pursue Your Passion for Biblical Counseling
This certificate prepares students for a wide variety of biblical guidance ministries in local churches. Students will learn from educators who grant a uniquely constitutive role to Scripture, to the Gospel of God in Christ, and to His Church. Students will be equipped to bring the wisdom of God’s Word, the hope and power of His Gospel, and the unique relevance of the church community into the care and cure of others.

- Integrate biblical principles and Christian worldview into counseling.
- Learn with an emphasis on Scripture and its historical and modern impact.
- Evaluate the ethical and legal standards relevant to counseling practice and apply them within the context of biblical principles and values.
Program Goals
- Explain various counseling theories and techniques, while evaluating them from a biblical perspective.
- Gain knowledge and skills specific to marriage and family counseling.
- Prepare for the professional responsibilities of a biblical counselor, including self-care, ongoing education, consultation, and ethical practices.
- Appraise practical counseling skills, such as active listening, empathy, communication, assessment, intervention strategies, and conflict resolution, within the framework of biblical principles.
