Course Description:
This course will offer an in-depth look at the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the Apostles, the believers and the nature and mission of the church. This course will take students back to those early days of the church and explore how the Spirit led, empowered, taught, and guided those present. Students will reflect on how the lives of those during the early church were transformed by the work of God’s Spirit and how their involvement with the Holy Spirit impacts culture, society, and the church today. Two major themes will be the rejection of the Gospel by the Jews and the acceptance of the Gospel by the Gentiles.

Course Description:
This course examines the historical and theological ways the Holy Bible was canonized. Students
examine how this collection of writings came together, how it was later translated into English, how its
contents were interpreted by various groups throughout history, and how it continues to be read today by millions around the world. This course examines Christian history—from ancient times through today—how the Bible developed through its history of translation, commentary, and interpretation by various groups. It explores some major Christian trends like exegesis that sought to apply scriptural principles to daily life.
